A PLURAL HERITAGE
Born in Martinique to a black mother and a Caucasian father, Aïmara Coupet is the product of a plural heritage. A citizen of the world, this makeup expert first lived in Canada before moving to Paris to pursue a passion: beauty. From this rich cultural heritage, she draws a fine understanding of mixed-race skins, such as her mother's, her sister's, and her own, who still struggle to find the right products for them. Throughout her career, Aïmara has campaigned for the recognition of plural beauty. A revolutionary vision mixed with a passion for the complexion, which she has carried since her youth. In order to move the lines, she decided to share this fervor with the industry. Thus, she created BE+RADIANCE, the embodiment of her heritage, passion and expertise.
A RENOWNED SKIN TONE EXPERT
Called "Madame Teint," Aïmara has been working in the cosmetics industry as a makeup expert for over 20 years. After starting her career in Canada in 1999 with the world's leading beauty company, L'Oréal, she decided to move to Paris in 2004 and joined the teams of the giant Sephora as part of the development team of the own brand, Sephora Collection. In 2011, she became the marketing and product development director of BlackUp Cosmetics, the makeup specialist for black and mixed race skin. It is this decisive experience that will allow her to sharpen her expertise of all skin tones.
Later, her thirst for freedom leads her to the profession of consultant. Now, "Madame Teint", Aïmara puts herself at the service of various brands to work on the science of complexion and the adaptation to all skin tones for brands here and internationally. It was also at this time, as a consultant, that she had the opportunity to work with a laboratory on a silicone-free foundation, an innovation based on cucumber water that made her want to write a new chapter in her career and found BE+RADIANCE.
PLEASURE AS A PHILOSOPHY
Authentic, natural, accessible, Aïmara crunches through life. Epicurean and follower of the holistic philosophy, she is convinced that self-love combined with a healthy, varied diet as well as regular physical activity and simple rituals are the secret to beauty.
"I conceive natural makeup in a global approach as one respects her body by also paying attention to her diet and exercising. So that the skin is beautiful and luminous, also being respected "above as well as below " " -Aïmara Coupet.
